Jimmy DiBattista
As a current singer
and songwriter living in Lake Worth, Florida. Jimmy
DiBattista is one of the greatest! He was born in
Elizabeth, New Jersey. He is proudly married with
three children and two grandchildren.
He has been singing
his whole life and decided what he wanted to be
after seeing the Beatles on The Ed Sullivan show
when he was eight years old. He took up guitar right
around his eighteenth birthday and started writing
almost immediately after learning his first few
chords.
In these 30 years
Jimmy has written over 350 songs and has released
seven albums: JimiD-Bo, Give It All You Got, Day Of
The Eclipse, Capture the Moment, Solo, Jersey
Stories One and Jersey Stories Two.
He has been in bands
in Jersey---Damien, The Doowrag Flyers, The Fun
Ghouls as well as his own band, with rotating
members of a group he calls Tropical Storm. Jimmy
has been a full time musician since the early 90's
working in many places down here in Palm Beach
County, Florida. He has a repertoire of over 500
songs! South Florida has a "Rag" magazine called
Jam and he was nominated for Top Solo Artist back in
92---A Jammy nomination.
(Big Fish/Small Pond)
He has jammed with Clarence Clemmons twice, which
was a “big thrill for a Jersey guy who had been
influenced by Bruce Springsteen and The E Street
Band”. He has even been able to play a couple of
Bruce songs for the Boss at his gig two years ago.
Jimmy says, “he was surprised to hear his Tom Joad
classic "The New Timer" and a B side from Born In
The USA "Shut Out The Light” down here in South
Florida.” Mr. Springsteen was quoted saying to Jimmy
[that he] " sounded good". That was one of the
highlights of Jimmy’s life.
Jimmy loves what he
does and feels blessed to be able to do what he has
always wanted to do. This shows through his
performances. He performs nightly at Nicole's
Village Tavern in Wellington on Thursday, Friday,
and Saturday nights. Best acoustic act you’ll ever
see!
Chad Murphy & Heather Burkett
Country Music
Duo
As a dynamic
country duo performing top country songs, Chad and
Heather are being recognized as the best at their
genre in Wellington! They have been singing together
for the last three wonderful years together. Every
Thursday night at Nicole’s Village Tavern they rock
the house, as they have been for almost two years!
Chad grew up in
Kansas and has lived in several different places in
the United States over the years. He always had a
love for music. His grandfather encouraged him to
sing country, but Chad was a rebel and decided to
get into the rock scene. Having formed a rock band
in California where he played for several years,
Chad has been playing acoustic and electric guitar
for over twenty-four years! He has a great ear for
music. It was not until four years ago that he
decided that his grandfather may have been right,
and he turned his talents to country music.
Heather grew up in
West Palm Beach and was always interested in singing
but never sang in public until four years ago when
she met Chad. They both knew that they could do
something great together with their love for country
music. They started playing private parties, mostly
in Wellington, and it took off from there! They have
also donated their time to help local charities in
fundraising. They believe in catering to their
audience by trying to get them involved in the
music. ‘Chad and Heather’ fans always get up and
dance; they have a fun time! As Brooks and Dunn
would say “That’s what it’s all about!”
They perform a
variety of different country music songs featuring
the sounds of Kenny Chesney, Brooks and Dunn, Toby
Keith, Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban, Gretchen Wilson,
Sara Evans, Sugarland, Jo Dee Messina, to name a
few. Chad will even throw some rock and dance music
for fun.
This dynamic duo is
a must see. They have been known to convert many
people who didn’t like country music! Whether you’re
a little bit country or a little bit rock and roll
you are guaranteed to have a great time. Be prepared
for some foot stompin’ fun! |
